This home console version is based on the Atari arcade game. The arcade version came in a bigger cabinet than most arcade machines. The speakers sat on the top like a skater’s boombox. There was an 80’s skateboarding craze and this game attempted to take full advantage of that. You have your trusty skateboard and $100 in your back pocket as you skate, jump, slide, spin and move through four levels of difficulty. You skate around town, enter competitions and earn money to upgrade your equipment. Your ultimate goal is to earn a ticket to one of the big skate parks.
