Europe had seemingly had its fill of Master Higgins after two games, but the chubby funster returned for a third game outing in North America. The new damsel in distress goes by the name of Jeannie Jungle, and this time its aliens who have been doing the capturing: seemingly the Evil Witch Doctor had had his fill too. Master Higgins can duck for the first time in this game, and there’s now a fifth dinosaur character, a tripetaurus, which has a rolling attack. If you aren’t familiar with the tripetaurus species, that’s because it didn’t exist: it’s basically just a fancy triceratops. There was also a surfing bonus game this time around.
Master Higgins would return in a fourth Adventure Island in Japan for the Famicon in 1994. Adventure Island IV ended up being the last game released for the Famicon.
