Armored Warriors
Armored Warriors is a 2D side-scrolling mecha-themed beat ’em-up game that puts players in the shoes of a mecha pilot. In 2281, Earth and the planet Raia ended a half a century lasting war. But a year after the ceasefire the Raian capital was captured by an unknown army. Earth has send an army to retake it under the pretext of protecting the citizens. But in reality Earth wants to bring Raia under it’s control.
In the game you take control of one of four pilots/mechas: Rash with his AEX-10M BLODIA, Justice with SVA-6L REPTOS, Gray with AEX-10H GULDIN and Siren with AEX-12J FORDY. You fight various mechas, tanks, other vehicles and bosses and along the way you can attach and use parts of destroyed enemies. The game can be played solo or with up to two friends. When playing with friends all mechas can fuse in to one powerful mecha.
Battle Circuit
Battle Circuit is a 2D side scrolling beat’em up drawn in a comic (manga) style in a futuristic science fiction setting. A group of bounty hunters must capture the mad scientist Dr. Saturn with a giant head.
The roster of heroes has 5 characters for the player to choose from: Cyber Blue, a human bounty hunter with cybernetic attachments to his body; Captain Silver, a humanoid shape-shifting hunter who has ability to project ice particles from his body; Pink Ostrich, a large, sentient, pink ostrich, who is always accompanied by its owner, a young girl named Pola Abdul; Yellow Iris, a part-time fashion model with claws and Alien Green, a space creature looking like a giant, moving plant.
Captain Commando
Metro City, 2026. A corrupt mutant group by the name of “Scumocide” plot to control the universe. The hero, Captain Commando assembles a team of three renegades; Ginzu the Ninja, Baby Head, and Mack the Knife; to help him foil Scumocide’s plans. This task will not be easy as many of Earh’s institutions are infested with Scumocides minions, but strength and persistence runs the team into the crusade.
The player chooses one of these four characters, who must fight their way through an army of genetically engineered super-criminal, traveling through a series of locations such as the bank, museum, circus, aquarium, and several others, right through to a planet called “Callisto”, where the evil behind “Scumocide” awaits. All four characters have their own special attacks. Captain Commando can use the power of his suit to shoot electricity through his palms. Baby Head rides around in a mech suit which does more damage. Mack can use short knives. Each location ends with the character defeating a boss before proceeding to the next one.
Final Fight
The streets of Metro City are filled with criminals who are part of a gang called Mad Gear. Former wrestler and newly elected mayor Mike Haggar tries to do something about it, much to the displeasure of the Mad Gear Gang who kidnap his daughter Jessica. Only three people are brave enough to venture into the crime-infested streets and try to bring Jessica back.
Final Fight is a 2D side-scrolling fighting game. Taking on the role of either Cody, Guy, or the mayor Mike Haggar himself, you must advance through six areas of the city clearing out the gang infestation. You will have to cope with a variety of thugs, ranging from firebomb-throwing maniacs to behemoth wrestlers. To defeat these thugs, you have an arsenal of punches, kicks, throws, and jump kicks at your disposal.
Knights of the Round
In Knights of the Round, play the role of one of three knights from the Arthurian legends. The three characters are Sir Lancelot, Sir Percival, and of course King Arthur.
The story tells of a man who pulled the mighty sword Excalibur from a rock which no one else could achieve. This feat signified that he should be king of the Britons and lead them to peace. The trouble is there is mass chaos in the land and the only way Arthur can stop it is to find the holy grail which has been hidden for over a thousand years. Aurthur is joined by Percival and Lancelot on his quest to find the grail.
The gameplay involves the player to scroll along the screen fighting of enemies with a sword or axe depending on the character. The player can also block and parry with opponents which is done by a simple button press. There are also character development elements in the game where collecting points by killing enemies and picking up gold increase the character’s attack and speed. Character’s armour and weapons also change when they gain experience.
The King of Dragons
The King of Dragons is a fantasy themed side-scrolling beat’em up. There are five different characters to choose from: a fighter, a cleric, an elf, a wizard and a dwarf. All characters have different strengths and weaknesses in speed, attack power and magic. After choosing an appropriate character, the player has to fight his way through numerous short levels guarded by an equally high number of bosses; gaining better weapons and shields/magic in the process.
Warriors of Fate
Warriors of Fate is a 2D side-scrolling beat ’em-up and sequel to Dynasty Wars taking place in ancient China. Akkila-orkhan the dark lord of Shang-Lo has decided to conquer the neighboring countries. The wise Kuan-Ti has summoned the five greatest warriors of the lands to stop this from happening. The five warriors to choose from are(international names) Portor, Kassar, Subutai, Abaka and old man Kadan.
As you make progress you encounter numerous different enemies including spearman, archers, mace wielding soldiers, hand to hand fighters and bosses. Various weapons dropped by enemies can be picked up and used. Along the way health can be replenished by consuming food as well as mounting a horse. The game can be played solo or with up to two friends in the arcade version. The Saturn and PlayStation version allow two player to play.
