Castlevania: Anniversary collection contains emulated versions of some of the earliest Castlevania games in True HD graphics along with “The History of Castlevania” digital book with info on each of the included games.
Each game features six different display settings, three main and three identical ones but using scanlines and blurred graphics:
- Original – keep original 4:3 aspect ratio but is stretched to fit the screen
- Pixel Perfect – keeping pixels as in the original game without stretching to full screen
- 16:9 – stretched to fit widescreen TV
The game supports switching between English and Japanese versions which has localized game release with all the differences between versions.
English versions include 8 games in total:

- Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest (1988, NES version)
- Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse (1990, NES version)
- Super Castlevania IV (1991, SNES version)
- The Castlevania Adventure (1989, Game Boy version)
- Castlevania II: Belmont’s Revenge (1991, Game Boy version)
- Castlevania: Bloodlines (1994, Genesis version)
- Kid Dracula (2019, first official English localized release)
Japanese versions include 7 games in total:
- Akumajou Dracula (1993, Famicom version)
- Akumajou Densetsu (1989, Famicom version)
- Akumajou Dracula (1991, Super Famicom version)
- Dracula Densetsu (1989, Game Boy version)
- Dracula Densetsu II (1991, Game Boy version)
- Vampire Killer (1994, Mega Drive version)
- Akumajou Special: Boku Dracula-kun (1990, Famicom version)
Bonus included digital book, “The History of Castlevania”, is little below 100 pages and contains:
- Box Art Gallery – English and Japanese cover arts of included titles

- Castlevania Research Reports – chronology and charts
