Lost Horizon 2 is the sequel to Lost Horizon and it is set 20 years after the events of the first game. It continues the story of Fenton Paddock, but now focuses on Scandinavian mythology instead of Tibetan. This time it is about confronting Soviets instead of Nazis in 1956.
The style and mechanics of this classical adventure game remains the same in general. A player controls one of four playable characters, which are selected through the plot during six chapters. Most of the game is played on more or less static screens, where a character can wander between them and interact with scattered items using a third-person view. Sometimes a closer look at the puzzle is represented in first-person view and sometimes a scrolling maze is roamed using a third-person view. Some QTE actions and puzzles limited by time are also present.
A walkthrough is integrated into the game and may be accessed at any time.
