The seventh main game in the Heroes of Might and Magic series keeps the gameplay of the previous two installments, ever since the series switched to real 3D graphics, with a bird’s view perspective during exploration and battles with the ability to zoom in/out. The campaign story sets you on a journey to become the next hero of Ashan, and offers six factions to choose from, each with their own set of heroes and unique upgradeable units. The factions include Haven, Academy, Necropolis, Stronghold, Sylvan, and Dungeon. Beside the campaign story, the game offers skirmish and duel (quick battle without exploration) modes as well as a multiplayer mode.
