In the world of Shadowrun magic has returned to the world. Elves, trolls, orks and dwarves walk among humans in a cyberpunk world. You are a shadowrunner, a specialist who undertakes difficult missions for people who want to keep their identities secret. Shadowrun Returns takes place in Seattle (USA) where you are trailing a mysterious killer on a chase that takes you from the slums to the halls of the most powerful megacorporations. In order to get through your mission you need to master technology and magic, while seeking aid from other runners.
Shadowrun Returns is a turn-based role-playing game with a skill based character progression system. You create your basic character and build the character based on your own needs during the game play, adding in the skills fit the most in your gamestyle. Combat is done with tactical, turn-based style, allowing you to take an advantage of your team skills as well as the surroundings of the battle. The game is played from an isometric view. The game world is created in a hand-painted style while the characters are in 3D.
