Shanghai

Shanghai is a role-playing game which has you exploring a space shuttle that has crashed into the eponymous city. They used Stuart Smith’s engine to create the game.

The purpose is to recover cargo from the space shuttle “Continent” that crashed in Shanghai. This is StarCraft’s first original game that has faithfully ported foreign titles. The city of Shanghai is full of traps, and it’s hard to survive. While inheriting the same system as Alibaba, the scenario is original to Japan. This software did not sell well, but StarCraft released more software in this series, “Kowloon Island” and “Fighting King”, and it gained popularity.
