Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap is an enhanced remake of the original for the SEGA Master System. It features all new visuals, music and sound effects while maintaining the game play of the original almost completely.
There are only minor differences compared to the original version. Even all glitches and secrets have been copied over completely. Instead of receiving charm stones every now and then as random loot there are now six new hidden areas in which one can be obtained. Once obtained they can be used to buy a new item.
The game features a new hard mode with a time limit.
Players can switch between old and new visuals/audio at any time.
